Hi all,
As you all may know, today was the day that we were going to drive the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix at The Raceway on Belle Isle Park. Sadly, my computer crashed. Luckily, I have been able to recover all the files/documents/data which I wanted. My PC is going to be repaired and I can tell you guys more about an eventual replacement date next Wednesday.
The possibilities for a replacement date are:
- February 3
- February 10
- February 17
In all my honesty: I doubt if February 3 would be possible but as I said above, I know more on next Wednesday on January 30.
The scheduled tests at Phoenix International Raceway and Texas Motor Speedway will get replacement dates as well, if needed. If the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix is going to be driven on one of the Sundays' where we had originally an open test scheduled on, than in Phoenix' case it will be postponed to the weekend before the first race on a 1-mile oval and in the case of Texas Motor Speedway it would be postponed to eventually one DAY before the Firestone 275K on the same track.
When my PC is repaired, the next Sunday will immediately become the replacement date. This means that if my PC has been repaired successfully on next Thursday, that February 3 would become the replacement date and so on.
We decided to cancel the race due to my computer crash, to avoid any confusion and even more trouble.
Once again, we are sorry for the inconvenience, I was looking forward to this race like everyone else and I have been very angry about this but hey, live goes on and this race is going to be driven but just on another date!
